The Ellon & District Dog Care and Obedience group held a Christmas Party for dogs and their owners at the Victoria Hall on Wednesday, December 14.

Over 25 dogs attended and £340 was raised to be split between Mrs Murray’s Cat and Dog Home and Rescue Dogs in Turkey.

Group leader, Myra Stewart, said: “There was lots of fun and games as usual, ice cream for both the dogs and their owners, pass the parcel and a fancy dress competition.

“I am very lucky with the help I get and both the owners and the dogs enjoyed themselves.”

Pictured above are the fancy dress competition winners: Dram with Kayleigh Milne (3rd), Teddy with Caitlin McDonald (1st) and Alfie with Jodie Henderson.

The dog training sessions are held every Wednesday at the Victoria Hall from 7-9pm.

The classes aim to help with puppy socialising as well as dog training and socialising.

Entry is £5 per class.
