PUPILS at Auchterellon School enjoyed a belated Jubilee celebration day on Friday, after the event was postponed to allow the P7s to take part.
Pupils and staff gathered to enjoy specially prepared packed lunches at the event, which was resplendent in union flags and bunting fully a week after the rest of the country stopped celebrating.
The school’s P7 pupils would have missed the event, having been on a school trip to Dalguise in Perthshire. However, the decision was taken to postpone the celebrations so the P7s could participate.
Headmistress Morag McGowan told the Times “It’s good to see that the P7s could take partjubilee celebrations.
“Our staff - and our pupils - have done a fantastic job organising the day, preparing food and decorating the school.”
