Fun for all at Once Upon A Tune

An Aberdeenshire children’s entertainment company has been busy upgrading their website and branching out to social media in the run up to the festive period.

Registered story teller, Diana Peers established Once Upon A Tune in February 2001 and provides sessions from her Blackburn home and also caters for parent and toddler groups, nurseries and care homes.

Aimed at babies, pre-school children, the elderly and those with learning difficulties, the classes offer a mix of stimulation combined with freedom of expression.

From musical sessions to fascinating storytelling and themed parties, there is a song, story and party tailored to suit everyone.

Diana said: “I cover Balmedie Rhymetime, I do home sessions and I also do birthday parties and events through libraries and I have done sessions with Castle Fraser and Haddo House.

“I started the business slowly at first, to make sure I would enjoy it.

“I started doing the sessions from my house, then I branched out into playgroups, nurseries, then into care homes.

“It’s developed slowly, but surely.

“Allachburn care home in Aboyne have already booked me for a Christmas session.”

The spinning wheel, which spins tales, is the newest addition to Diana’s collection of props.

With Halloween and Christmas just around the corner, now might be the time to book your themed party!

Diana added: “At the end of the day, it’s all about fun.”
