LOCAL primary schools hosted their Spring Fair last weekend at Neil Ross Square.

Pupils and teachers from Tipperty, Arnage, Foveran, Slains and Ardallie manned stalls at the event, and the activities helped to raise around £200.

It was part of a schools enterprise project and linked in with Ellon Health Improvement Group Wellbeing Week.

Around 120 pupils took part in the fair which had a recycling theme.

One of the organisers, Mrs Gaye Stevenson, said : “Most of the work was done by the children and the event focused on the environment.

“The money raised will go back into future enterprise projects. An event like this is valuable for all the pupils.”
