Playgroup worker Pamela Hughes got a fond send-off when she bid farewell to Methick Under 5s.

Children, parents and staff gathered at the school last Friday for a presentation and to wish her well in retirement.

Pamela was with the group, which comprises the playrgoup and pre-school youngsters, from 1990 until 1993 and returned in 2007 as a relief playgroup worker.

She has been heavily involved in the school’s Eco Club and has been praised for her work with the group as the school moves towards achieving Green Flag status.

Head teacher Alison Reid said: “She has done a tremendous amount of work for the Eco Club and she leaves us in a good place with it. We will try to continue her good work.”

Pamela said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the school and will miss everyone.
