ELLON Academy’s annual Evening of Entertainment has been rated a huge success.
Organisers are still tallying up the proceeds from last Friday’s event, which had around 155 people seated for the fundraising extravaganza.
Businesses and community groups were invited to take tables and the audience enjoyed performances from local musicians and entertainers, all aimed at raising money for the school.
Last year’s event gathered more than £7,000 and it is hoped this year’s total will be even higher.
Organiser Helen O’Brien said: “It was a super evening and everyone enjoyed themselves. Some said it was even better than last year.
“A number of people have said they will be back next year, so that is always a good sign.”
She added that the concert brings the community’s businesses and social groups together and is now firmly established on the local calendar.
Staff and pupils at the academy were also involved in supporting the evening.
