The simple enjoyment of buildings and the experiences created within them are what inspired one Robert Gordon University (RGU) student to embark on an architecture degree.

Six years later and Tracey Irvine, 23, from Ellon, graduated on Friday, July 12, with an MA in Architecture – and her love for the subject is still very much alive.

Citing one of the highlights of her time at RGU as working on her Masters project, Tracey was one of a group of final year students who created a huge 3D model of Union Street to reflect their ideas for its regeneration, which ranged from pedestrianisation and the reintroduction of trams, to the relocation of major oil companies into the heart of the city.

She hopes to secure a placement within an architecture office and carry on expanding her skills.
