Organisers of Ellon’s bonfire night spectacular are calling on the public to give the event their full support.
The town’s Gordon Park will host the fireworks extravaganza on Saturday, November 1.
Heavy rain and high winds forced the cancellation of last year’s event and the previous year’s display was a loss-maker.
Ellon Round Table officials, who are organising the event, are hoping their luck will change this time.
The Table’s press and area officer Deni Sarafimoski told the Times: “We’re hoping for a better year this year as we had to cancel on the night with the bad weather last year.
“In response, we’ve had a few sponsors and donations towards the fireworks this year.
“We really need this one to go well otherwise we may not do it again, which would be a shame as the Round Table is all about getting guys from 18-45 to put something back into the local community.”
