The British Red Cross Shop of Ellon is preparing to close its doors tomorrow, Friday August 2, for two weeks in preparation for a store refit.

The revamp will include new, improved lighting and additional shelving.

Shop manager, Elma Hay, said: “There will also be new equipment when we re-open, but we will still be able to receive donations at the back of the shop.

From clothes, to brick-a-brack, to electrical goods, there is something for everyone in the shop.

Elma added: “The ladies clothing and books are our best sellers. The book room will be extended during the refit.”

With the clothing rail being changed every week, shoppers will not see the same thing twice.

The store are holding a half price sale today so grab a bargain now.

British Red Cross charity shops stock second-hand designer and vintage clothes, gifts, books, furniture, with all profits going towards the organisation’s work both overseas and in the UK.

If you would like to donate items or get involved as a volunteer contact the shop situated on The Square for more details or call the shop on 01358 722000.
