An Ellon church learnt the true meaning of Christmas recently as they staged their show - the X-Mas Factor.

The children of Ellon Baptist Church put on a show with a difference in the run-up to Christmas.

Written by talented playwright Jill Morton the play involves the story of several characters making their case to have the X-Mas Factor.

Some of the talented characters included Christmas Trees, Frosty and Frostina the snowmen, Rudolph and the reindeers and, of course, Santa and the elves.

In the end their wishes are not granted and the true meaning of Christmas is revealed - in the words of the play ‘Christmas is all about me, Jesus Christ, and my gift to you - there IS NO Xmas factor but I can give you The CHRISTmas Factor – that’s why Christmas is called Christmas!’

A first-class performance was put on by children ranging from toddlers aged 3 right up to mid-teens.

A large congregation of well over 100 enjoyed the show which was held at the town’s Victoria Hall.

The church played host to various other dramas and shadow dances which were shown on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, telling the real tale of Christmas though different media.

Ellon Baptist Church would like to thank everyone who joined them for at their Christmas services.
