Ellon & District Gardening Club are all set for their annual flowershow this Saturday, August 17.
Their 30th show takes place at Victoria Hall and prides itself in being an open show with no confined classes.
The show opens to the public at 12pm and will be officially opened by local Councillor Rob Merson at 2pm with the trophies presentation following on. There will be a raffle drawn at 3pm.
Entry times this year will be 6pm-8.30pm tomorrow and from 7am to 8.45am on the morning of the show.
The club wish to thank all their sponsors including Mr & Mrs S Burnett, Ellon Royal British Legion, J&K Shoes, Loch-hills Plant Centre, Taylor Design, The Tolbooth, Wiltshire Farm Foods and Ythan Bakery.
Organiser, Gillian Forrest said it has been heads down and get on with the job, who took the chance to thank all the people, not only club members, who work hard to keep the show going.
Once again, the show allows those who are in wheelchairs or otherwise disadvantaged, access from 10.30am. As there are disabled facilities in the hall, the Committee hope that this will allow even more people to see the show.
Catalogues are available from the Ellon Library, Costcutters, JRD’s and both flower shops in Ellon or by calling Gillian on 01358 720274.
