Duncan received the grades for Maths, German, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Music.
He said: “I am incredibly pleased. It’s exactly what I was hoping for and my mum is proud of me.
“I felt I was prepared for the exams but the maths exam was a bit trickier than normal.
“I put in the work across the year and was happy with my performance.”
Duncan plans to return to school at the start of the next term to begin his sixth and final year at school.
He plans to study his more favoured subjects Biology, Chemistry and German at Advanced Higher level.
Looking to life after school, Duncan hopes to head off to university to pursue his dreams of studying medicine.
“I’ve done a lot of community work such as First Aid with the Red Cross.
“I also had two weeks work experience in a hospital and this cemented that belief that medicine is what I want to do.”
Duncan is amongst many other pupils at Ellon Academy who are celebrating the good news of their results.
The pupils are now able to revel in their achievements after all their hard work.
