Ellon Rotary Club recently awarded a number of Community Grants to support local organisations in a range of activities.

A total of £1,600 was distributed to Rosaline Hendry School of Highland Dancing - to help with travel costs for 21 dancers who are jetting off to Vancouver to represent Ellon in an international event, Haddo Arts Trust – a joint venture amongst Haddo Choral Society, National Trust for Scotland and various arts groups to promote the arts at Haddo, Gig at the Brig – to support the Hogmanay celebrations featuring US (and Pitmedden) singing sensation Terry McDermott, Friends of Bonnyton House – who raise funds for entertainment and outings for those in the care of Bonnyton House, and finally, Ardallie F C – who have built their new clubhouse into a community project to provide a home for local activities such as a playgroup and the WRI. The grants underline the Rotary’s commitment to enhance and promote local community activities.
