The Times has been contacted by a woman from Ellon keen to find a photograph of the town’s former maternity hospital.

Sheila Constable was born there on March 14, 1942.

Her parents lived in Peterhead, where her father was stationed with the Navy during the war, and the family name was MacBeath.

They moved to Cromarty and then to Millport before settling in Glasgow, where they stayed until Sheila was 21. She then went to live in London.

Sheila said: “I would love to obtain a photograph of the hospital as it was, but am not sure where I might get one.

“Ellon Golf Club, I believe, now stands on the site of the hospital.”

If anyone can help Sheila in her search, she can be contacted by emailing si.constable2@btinternet.com
