First Minister Alex Salmond attended a charity golf day at Meldrum House on Friday held in support of the Pound for Piper Memorial Trust.

Mr Salmond met charity officials and those taking part, including from Stork Technical Services, who organised the event.

He struck three balls from the first tee, the best of which was marked, and competitors were invited to hit further than the First Minister.

The Pound for Piper charity aims to raise £1million to restore the Memorial Gardens at Hazlehead Park to their former glory.
