A primary school has been treated to a new shelter thanks to a housing firm.

CALA Homes have ensured that Foveran Primary School will not be left in the cold during the Winter months.

The new shelter was installed in the school playground, in support of the school’s initiative to improve their outdoor spaces.

The children will be able to take advantage of the new addition during play times and it will be also be used as part of the school’s outdoor learning.

Foveran Primary Head teacher, David Williams, said: “The playground shelter is an integral part of our school, and with the winter weather upon us, CALA’s support came just at the right time.

“The work already carried out by our Eco-group and CALA Homes has helped us achieve our first Green Flag Award for community green spaces which we’re very proud of.”

CALA Homes (North) sales and marketing manager, Vivian MacLean, said: “Pupils of Foveran Primary School did a great job in naming our near-by development, Foveran Fields, last year so we’re pleased to be able to support them in return with the installation of the outdoor shelter.”

Anyone interested will have to act fast as there is only one home left at CALA’s Foveran Fields – The Lewis show home.

The show home is available either fully furnished or un-furnished.

The development includes 24 four and five bedroom detached homes set around a village green in the rolling countryside.
