Good Friday Gala Concert set for Inverurie Town Hall

INVERURIE Music invites you to a Special Gala Concert for Good Friday, on Friday, March 29 at 8pm in Inverurie Town Hall.

The concert will feature Chamber Philharmonic Europe, Kammer Philharmonie Europa and Award-winning Youth String Orchestra from Cologne.

The Chamber Phiharmonic Europe, the award winning Youth String Orchestra, was founded in 2006 in Cologne and has more than 60 of the most talented young musicians from more than 18 countries in Europe.

Since its inception it has built upon a broad range of professional experience, and in the interest of promoting the younger generation, it aims to provide promising artists the opportunity for further development.

In the 2010/11 season the Cahmber Philharmonic performed more than 70 concerts across Europe and appeared in many of the most famous venues including the Theatre des Bouffes-Paisiens, Paris; De Munt Oper, Brussels; Koninklijik Theater Carre, Amsterdam; the Grand Theatre de la Ville, Luxembourg and the Konzerthaus, Berlin.

Although a fully professional and privately financed organisation, the Chamber Philharmonic Europa has also performed many times for various charities throughout Europe.

Their repertoire ranges from Baroque to modern.

The programme includes: A. Vivaldi: Concerto for Violin No.4 in A minor, RV 357 “La Stravaganza”; A. Ponchielli: Concerto in F major, for Trumpet and Orchestra; E. Grieg: Holberg Suite, Op.40; A. Corelli: Concerto Grosso, Op.6 No.4 in D major; G. Faure: Pavane, Op.50; J. S. Bach: Double Concerto for Two Violins in D minor, BWV 1043

Tickets cost £12 for adults, £9 concession and £1 for children / students and are available from Morgan’s Music or at the door at the concert.
