Gritters have been out in force on Aberdeenshire roads as temperatures plummet.
The lowest recorded was this morning at Banchory where it dropped to -4C
All routes were treated on Sunday afternoon and again at 5.30am on Monday.
Extra gritters and seven snowploughs have been out in Marr where conditions have been worst.
Footpath gritters have been treating priority routes in a number of towns including Ellon, Banchory, Portlethen, Laurencekirk, Inverurie, Insch, Kintore, Newmachar, Kemnay, Westhill, Alford and Huntly.
As temperatures remain low, a particular problem is refreezing of water on roads which have already been treated.
