Handbag auction for childrens’ charities

THE PUBLIC are invited to join J-A-C-K (Joining Against cancer In Kids) and CLIC Sargent for a day of vintage handbags at Haddo House.

Taking place on Saturday, August 28, there will be an extensive auction of new and vintage handbags generously donated to help raise funds for two worthy charities. The event will be opened by Cllr Gillian Owen, with entertainment for the afternoon by local soprano Maureen Bell.

Speaking to the Times, organiser Sylvia Koren said that she had been overwhelmed by the number and quality of the donations the auction had received.

“I recently travelled to Dundee to pick up two handbags from a lady who wished to help - I was absolutely amazed at the quality,” she said. “There will be some fantastic items up for auction on the day.”
