AN ABERDEEN charity has extended its thanks to a Pitmedden woman, after she raised £1100 for them with a specially organised casino night.

Suzanne Cattanach handed over the cheque on Monday morning to North East Sensory Services, who will use the money to provide independent living facilities to people in the north-east affected by visual and hearing impairment.

Suzanne, who lives with a vision-limiting condition - Myopic Coronaretinal Degeneration - told the Times that the money would be going towards a very good cause. She added that she planned to host another, similar event next year.
