An Inverurie singing club recently celebrated a special birthday.
The Foos Yer Doos club marked their first birthday by purchasing some new equipment, an iPad and a projector.
Funds from the Garioch Health Improvement Fund allowed the group to buy the equipment which will be used to project the lyrics of the songs onto the newly purchased screen.
Ahead of the group’s summer break members and volunteers also bid farewell to their current singing leader Liz.
Community Support Project Worker (North), Caroline Peter, said: “Members would like to thank everyone in the local community who have supported the activities of the group and made it such a successful first year.”
The group resumed this week with new members more than welcome to join.
Suitable for those with neurological conditions including those who have been affected by a stroke, Parkinson’s, MS and Dementia, the club also welcome along their families and carers.
The free singing sessions take place at St Marys Church, East End of High Street Inverurie and include a fly cup.
No singing ability is required.
Anyone interested in attending or volunteering to help can contact Caroline on 0791 867 4481 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The club is a charity registered in Scotland and is organised by members and volunteers.
