Kintore Rotary staged a series of fundraising events to raise funds for Children in Need recently.
The club organised a casino fundraiser supported by Westhill Rotary Club members who regularly manage Casino Nights on behalf of other clubs.
The event welcomed 80 ‘gamblers’ who tried their luck at the various tables.
Funds were boosted further when people were asked to place ‘bets’ and those with the biggest profit were announced the winners.
Prizes were issued to guest Diane Redford and Rotarian Jim Thomson.
President George Reidford said: “Children in Need is such a well supported UK cause and our members were delighted to get involved in the effort. “
The rotary raised more cash when they also joined forces with the local Co-op store.
Co-op Manager Gary Manges and the customers were delighted to support the initiative and donated a fantastic total of £544.63.
George added: “This was our second time in the Co-op for this high profile fundraising cause and we were very grateful to Gary and his staff for managing to accommodate us on a very busy day for the store and also for the good natured banter, positive comments and generosity of the customers.”
