pupils at Barthol Chapel School were the latest children in Aberdeenshire to become involved in Rotary International’s ‘Rotakids’ programme when they receive certificates on Friday for taking their Rotakids pledge.
The Rotakids scheme, which compliments primary school citizenship programmes, is being supported at Barthol Chapel by the Rotary Club of Oldmeldrum.
The P6 and 7 pupils, who have each taken a pledge to be fair to all, to serve their community and to show respect for others, received their certificates from Oldmeldrum Rotary Club president-elect, Richard Thomson.
Barthol Chapel is the fifth school in the area to join the project.
Head teacher Katie Budge said: “We are all very excited to be part of RotaKids and look forward to up and coming events in our community and to be working with our key Rotarians.”
