Ellon Parish’s Supper at the Kirk welcomed an excellent turnout last Wednesday.

The event was the first of the series of talks based on the theme : Life is unfair.

After a delicious meal of stovies with beetroot and oatcakes followed by cheese, biscuits and tea, the group heard an interesting talk by Rev Dr Paul McKeown, of Belhelvie Church.

Convener, Education and Communication Group, Alan Cameron said: “In his talk, Dr McKeown used theological arguments and personal anecdotes to illustrate the theme that life is not always fair.

“He talked of the power of prayer in helping people to overcome challenges in their lives.

“His talk gave us all a great deal to think about.”

Next talk: Wednesday, February 12 at 6.45pm in Ellon Parish Church, with Rev Gillean McLean, of Udny and Pitmedden Parish Church.
