Ellon couple George and Frances Jaffrary who completed a fundraising walk along the Fife Coastal Path

AN Ellon couple have completed a fundraising walk along the Fife Coastal Path.

George and Frances Jaffray covered the 84 miles in six days and raised £450 for two organisations.

Friends of St Mary’s Day Centre and Ellon Ramblers will each receive a cheque for £225.

The couple said: “We would like to thank all who supported u-s, and in particular – family and friends, staff and service users of St Mary’s Day Centre, Ellon Ramblers, regulars at Ellon Royal British Legion (Scotland), staff and members of Curves (Ellon), the Wordies (Ellon writers group) and bed and breakfast owners along the Fife Coastal Path.

“This beautiful walk was a joy to do, with stunning wildlife, and breathtaking views all along the route.

“The weather was on the whole kind to us – we only had one morning of drizzle. Thank you again to one and all who contributed in any way”.
