Preparations for Ellon’s Hogmanay party are well underway as organisers have recently announced that the final acts for the event have been selected.
Local performer Chloe Milne and band, Glass Monkey have been announced as the support acts at J M Taylor Ellon’s Gig at the Brig 2014.
The acts will support Silver City Soul Revue as well as the event headliners – Dumfries’ Pipe Rockers The Dangleberries.
Ellon Events committee members approached the acts after they spotted them performing at a local music school event.
Skin Deep Music School, based in Ellon, celebrated its 10th anniversary by holding a fun day in April and Chloe and Glass Monkey were among the performers.
Founders of Skin Deep Music School, Ian and Jayne Brown delivered a recent boost to the proceeds by donating £260 to Ellon Events which was raised during their fun day.
Jayne told the Times she is thrilled to see her pupils selected to perform in such a popular event.
She said: “We are absolutely delighted.
“Chloe is really excited and the boys are over the moon - they are just bouncing!
“Chloe will perform with two of her tutors on stage which will make the performance more interesting and more like a band.”
Tickets for the Gig at the Brig 2014 are on sale now in Costcutter and Delica, and online at ellonevents.com
