Grampian Police are anxious to trace Oldmeldrum man, Alexander Fleming, also known as ‘Alex’ or ‘Sandy’, 57, who has been reported missing from his home in the village.

Alex was last seen in the Old Meldrum area of Aberdeenshire by a family member on the morning of Monday 22 October 2012.

Sergeant Alun Harries from the local policing team in Ellon said: “ Alex is described as white, 5’8’’ tall, proportionate build, with grey receding hair, a grey goatee beard, dark eyebrows, and blue eyes. He speaks with a Scottish accent.

“When last seen he was wearing a navy blue shirt with a thin yellow check, black smart trousers, black shoes, and a black waterproof jacket.

“We believe Alex is in possession of his silver Land Rover Freelander 4x4 jeep, with the registration number, SW59 CZS.

“We are very keen for Alex to contact us, or alternatively a family member, to confirm that he is safe and well.

“Additionally we appeal to any member of the public who may know where Alex is, or who has seen his vehicle, to contact us as soon as possible.”

Any person who believes they may know the whereabouts of Alex Fleming or his vehicle is asked to contact Grampian Police on 0845 600 5 700 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.
