Move on bridge work
Ellon's Meiklemill footbridge
FURTHER investigations will take place into repairs required for Ellon’s Meiklemill footbridge.
A review towards the end of last year concluded there is a need to establish the right kind of remedial works, but it is not felt that the bridge is not fit for purpose.
Local Councillor Gillian Owen has been in consultation with the Director of Infrastructure Services to ensure that any further works needed are carried out timeously.
She said: “I have had an assurance from the Service that works will be carried out in the next financial year and during the school holidays in the summer
which should reduce the amount of disruption.”
