MSP welcomes centre report
North East Liberal Democrat MSP Alison McInnes has welcomed a positive report from inspectors on the Gordon Park Pre-School centre in Ellon.
The centre was checked recently as part of a nationwide series on inspection by Education Scotland, part of the Scottish Government.
Mrs McInnes, who is based in Ellon, said: “I was especially impressed with the comments in the inspector’s letter which is being sent to parents.
“He found that the children are enthusiastic and confident, and there is a welcoming and caring environment for them. I also noted that he said that the staff work extremely well as a team, displaying a high level of commitment to improving the work of the pre-school.
“The inspection resulted in three ‘good’ and two ‘satisfactory’ ratings. The inspector added that they are confident that the centre’s self evaluation processes are leading to improvements. I look forward to hearing more good news about the centre in the future.”
