New-look Balmedie store opens its doors

Local youngster Megan Johnstone officially opened the new-look Co-operative Food store in Balmedie, which relaunched following a £372,000 transformation.

Megan, a pupil at Balmedie Primary School who was born in June, 2006, when the store opened, joined manager Arlene Calder and her colleagues to cut the ribbon at a ceremony last Thursday.

The new-look store, in Rowan Drive, will focus on meal ideas, healthy, fresh foods and essentials. It has been redesigned to make shopping easy and enjoyable for customers.
