Between April 21 and 26 the football pavilion at Balmedie was broken into, however nothing appears to have been stolen.

Sometime during the afternoon of April 23, thieves entered an unlocked house in the Udny area and stole a number of personal items. A definite line of enquiry is being followed in terms of a vehicle seen nearby and in relation to individuals who are wanted for questioning, but what this highlights is the fact that thieves can strike anywhere and at any time - it is very important that houses and cars are kept locked. These opportunists look for easy targets and will be put off if the householder makes life difficult for them.

Around 10pm on April 24, officers stopped a car being driven at 87mph on the A90 south of Ellon. The 47 year old driver was arrested for failing a road side breath test. He was reported to the Procurator Fiscal for speeding and driving while over the prescribed limit for alcohol. That same day officers stopped a vehicle in Ellon on a routine matter and recovered a small amount of cannabis. A 20 year old man was charged with possession of a controlled drug.

On April 25, following an incident on a bus near Ellon, two individuals from the Fraserburgh area were arrested and charged with a number of offences including being drunk in charge of a child, acting in a racially abusive manner, and threatening and abusive behaviour.

On April 28, a report was received of an individual acting in a threatening and abusive manner near Tarves. Subsequent enquiry resulted in a 45 year old man being arrested in connection with the allegation and also being charged with driving while over the prescribed limit.

On April 29 another vehicle was stopped on a routine matter in Ellon and a small quantity of herbal cannabis was recovered. A 20 year old man has now been charged with possession of a controlled drug, and on April 30 local officers executed a drugs search warrant at an address in Newburgh and recovered a quantity of cannabis. A 34 year old female was charged.
