Crash Live, an event to raise awareness about road safety and the effect that anti-social driving can have on people’s lives was held at Thainstone, Inverurie last Tuesday (September 17).
The event involved a demonstration of emergency services actions and response to a serious road traffic collision, featuring Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Scottish Ambulance Service and NHS Grampian.
As well as the demonstration of an emergency situation, each emergency service gave a short presentation about their roles.
Garioch Community Policing Team Constable Alex Carnie said: “Crash Live is an opportunity for the community to see how emergency services respond to road traffic collisions and also highlights the importance of driving safely.
“We hope this partnership event will challenge attitudes towards driving and also raise awareness of the consequences of dangerous driving, speeding, drink or drug driving or using a mobile phone whilst driving, for example.
“I would also like to extend my thanks to Langstane Promotional Products for their assistance with the promotion of the event and also to ANM Group and other local businesses for their support.”
