Peterhead Academy pupils raised money by selling ice cream

Dylan Parsons’ family have thanked the people of Buchan for the generosity they have shown toward’s their son who is in desperate need of spinal surgery.

The pupils of Peterhead Academy raised more than £1,000 by wearing denim for a day at school.

They also raised £50 by selling ice cream.

Clerkhill School raised an impressive £500, and the children of Clevertots nursery also took part.

Staff from supermarkets in the town - including Asda, Morrisons and Iceland - also joined in the denim fun, all for a good cause.
