Young bulldog yearns for new home
American bulldog Taz is eager to find a new home.
The Scottish SPCA’s Aberdeenshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Aberdeenshire is seeking a new home for a lively young dog.
Taz, a two-year-old American bulldog, has spent more than eight months in the charity’s care with little interest and staff at Drumoak fear that his habit of jumping around his kennel is putting off potential new owners.
Animal care assistant Claire McGillivray said: “Taz is a great-natured young dog who is very intelligent and larger than life. He’s spent such a long time in kennels now that he’s becoming bored and frustrated.
“Jumping is a symptom of kennel stress which is particularly common in young, high-energy dogs who require lots of exercise and stimulation.
“When he’s out of his kennel he’s a completely different dog. His walks are the highlight of his day and he just loves getting out and about exploring.
“He also loves to play and be in your company. The only way Taz’s needs can truly be met is in a home where he will receive lots of one to one attention.
“He’s not had much stability or routine in his life and although he knows his basic commands, he would benefit massively from someone investing lots of time and effort into his training.”
