Artists in Oldmeldrum are getting ready for this year’s North East Open Studios (NEOS) event which kicks off next week.
Meldrum Makers is made up of ten local artists who will be coming together for the event in the historic setting of Glen Garioch Distillery malt barns in the heart of Oldmeldrum.
NEOS will run for nine days starting on Saturday, September 12 and running until Sunday, September 20.
The Meldrum Makers will showcase a wide range of fine art, design, wood craft, textiles, jewellery, photography and wood turning.
Throughout the week some of the artists will run interactive projects.
During the two weekends there will be live musical performances from local band, The Lorelei.
The Meldrum Makers will be exhibiting their work for the duration of the NEOS event and their exhibits in the distillery will be available to see each day from 10am to 4pm.
However on the final day, Sunday, September 20, the exhibits will remain open until 5pm.
NEOS was formed in 2003 and it provides an informal contact network for artists and makers to help the public access the varying creative talents available in the North-East.
Every year NEOS produces their Annual Directory of Artists who live and practice their art in the area.
This year there are over 200 artists, makers and galleries taking part in NEOS.
