Banff & Buchan MP Dr Eilidh Whiteford and her MSP colleague for Banffshire & Buchan Coast, Stewart Stevenson, have moved out of their former offices in Peterhead’s Maiden Street, to take up new offices at the town’s Burnside Business Centre.

The move ends the SNP’s 25-year long association with the Maiden Street premises, which were used by Alex Salmond during his time as the local MP.

Dr Whiteford, who had been based in Fraserburgh, said the move would allow the parliamentarians to work together effectively. “We already share some staff and resources and sharing the same building will lead to greater efficiencies”, she said.

“The public opening hours of both offices will be extended by an extra ten hours per week in order to increase our availability to constituents.”

The office, which is open between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday, is at Unit 7, Burnside Business Centre, Burnside Road, Peterhead AB42 3AW, Dr Whiteford can be contacted by telephone on 01779 822022 and by email on eilidh.whiteford.mp@parliament.uk
