The 84th Oldmeldrum Sports and Highland Games were underway today.
Robbie Shepherd MBE officially opened the event in the afternoon.
The Highland Games were packed with activities ranging from Heavy events and Tug O’War championships to Highland Dancing and drum displays,
A five mile race for the grown-ups as well as a one mile race for the kids kept everyone on their toes.
Pipe bands from Oldmeldrum RBL, Inverurie, Ellon, Lonach, Kintore and Huntly also took part in the showcase.
Performances from the ‘Rollstud’ drum major display ensured there wasn’t a quiet moment during the event.
Running live at the marquee, the ‘Nightfever’ disco runs from 9pm until 1am this evening.
We caught up with secretary, Gordon Forsyth and one of the visitors.
