Scottish Fire and Rescue Service organised a special event in Inverurie on Saturday in a bid to raise awareness about the number of people killed or seriously injured on Aberdeenshire’s roads.
The road safety event, Crash Live, was held at the town’s Tesco car park. Tesco is working in conjunction with the service to reduce road accidents.
The event featured the ‘live’ simulation of the aftermath of a serious incident, focusing on fire crews’ response. Other safety activity events were held within the store.
Fire chiefs said the aim was to highlight to key local employers the role they can play in changing the attitudes of road users in the area and helping to reduce the number of accidents. Picture: Paul Douglas.
