LAST week’s Ellon Rotary meeting saw Rotarians receive a talk from Keith Anderson of the Volunteer Centre Aberdeenshire, on ‘Skills Fit For Volunteering.’

Keith informed the club that earlier this year that the VCA launched a new project called ‘Skills Fit for Volunteering’. The objective of the course is to focus on helping volunteers develop the confidence and skills needed to be an volunteer effectively.

Keith said: “We have been able to work with more than 50 individuals from across Aberdeenshire. The courses that are provided are very friendly and relaxed, but challenging to just the right level so that those taking part can recognise the benefit of engaging with us and working through the sessions covering a range of relevant topics and issues.”

The vote of thanks was given by Rotarian John Wren.
