Before the handover, outgoing President George Reidford’s last duty was to “preside” over the presentation of awards to two very special Rotarians.

Paul Harris fellowships were presented to founder president Kenny Thomson for Service to the Club and Community, and District Governor Elect Roddy Duncan for Service to Club and District. The Paul Harris Fellowship is the highest award in Rotary and is well deserved by both recipients.

Also, to mark the last week of the Rotary year, the Club were busy distributing funds to deserving local causes.

Retiring President George Reidford presented £300 to 1st Kintore Guides towards Guide Camp transport costs, £250 to Kintore Playgroup towards the purchase of an iPad, £400 to Kintore United FC towards equipment for a girls football team, and £250 to Kiddiwinks Nursery in Kemnay towards upgrading and replacing play equipment.

Donations of £300 to Kintore Senior Citizens and £250 to Grampian Strikers FC were also made.
