Ellon youngsters will get a chance to experience Europe’s largest festival of science when it returns to north-east Scotland for the first time in almost 50 years.
A special event for three to seven year olds will be held in Victoria Hall, Ellon, on Sunday September 9. Organised by Science Made Simple, the event titled Izzy’s Incredible Adventure, will look at the science behind things we see around us.
It is part of the British Science Festival running in and around Aberdeen from September 4-9. The festival is Europe’s biggest celebration of science, engineering and technology and will see more then 200 events take place across Aberdeen city and shire.
Izzy’s Incredible Adventure is £3 and runs from 6-7pm on Sunday September 9.
Dr Ken Skeldon, Head of Public Engagement at the University of Aberdeen said: “The British Science Festival will have something for everyone, whatever their age or interests.
“We’re delighted to be able to bring an event to Ellon as part of this celebration of science, engineering and technology.”
