Ellon Academy was awash with talent at their recent school show.
The sell-out talent show saw over 300 tickets sold which raised over £1000 for charity.
The audience, full of parents and staff, were treated to various acts ranging from cheerleaders, solo singers and dancers.
Teachers took part in the S6 act which is said to have “went down a storm with the audience”.
The school have been supporting the charity Stellas Voice, in Moldova, who provide accommodation and help for orphans.
The charity’s general manager Mark Morgan and one of the judges for the event, brought one of the girls, Sylvia, from Moldova to the show.
Teacher, Helen O’Brien, said: “Before the winners were announced, the link committee presented the charity with a cheque for £4,000 from the pupils - as you can imagine Mark and Sylvia were astounded.
“This amount of money will fully furnish a room for four girls in one of their new hostels currently being built.”
The talent show raised over £1,200 and when added with the Christmas hamper tickets sold last year, the committee have raised nearly £2,000.
Duo Stuart Morrison on guitar and singer, Bethan Illingworth scooped first place.
Singer Lauren Kyle, in sixth year, was awarded second place, while S4 group, The Glass Monkey’s came in third.
