Robert Gordon University students are organising the Cornerstone Sports Day.

An Old School Sports Day will be held on behalf of the charity Cornerstone in Aberdeen’s Duthie Park this Sunday (April 12).

The disability group’s minibus fund will benefit from the event which is being supported by businesses throughout the North-east.

The event is open to all to submit teams of four for an ‘old school’ sports day.

Each team is encouraged to fundraise £200 to participate and will tackle eight sporting events on the day including space hopper, three-legged and sack race.

Spectators can attend free and there will be a variety of entertainment, including more than 30 stalls, for the whole family.

The event will run from 10am until 4pm.

Cornerstone provides care and support services for adults, young people and children across Scotland who live with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health problems and other support needs.

Supporting more than 2,200 people each year, Cornerstone delivers services in 20 local authority areas throughout Scotland.
