Families of Udny Green gave the village a spring clean on Saturday, May 14.
The clean was coordinated by Udny Community Trust with Pitmedden First Responders providing a safety briefing and first aid cover.
Around a dozen people collected ten bags of rubbish mainly from paths, wooded areas and road verges.
The Community Trust also launched the Green Dog Walkers scheme in Udny Green with three members signing up on the day.
After their hard work the volunteers were rewarded with bacon rolls and fine pieces from McGregor’s Hattoncrook Deli.
The village tidy was supported by PUT Community SCIO, Aberdeenshire Council’s Trade Waste Team, who provided litter pickers and bags, and the Roads Department who provided warning signs for traffic.
