The Ellon Group SWI held its annual bulb show on Saturday, March 12, in the town’s Victoria Hall.

The main prize-winners were as follows:

Rosebowl, overall institute winner - Balgownie; Wolrige-Gordon Cup, institute with under 20 members - Ardallie; Group Cup, institute with most points in bulbs - Esslemont; Auchedly Cup, institute with most points in handcraft - Balgownie; Fullerton Cup, institute with most points in baking - Tipperty; Silver Tray, institute with most points in produce - Newburgh; Sweet Dish, institute with most points in co-operative - Newburgh.

Beaton Rosebowl, individual overall winner, P Elrick, Newburgh, individual runner-up - M Duncan, Ardallie; Cath Mitchell Trophy, most outstanding exhibit in co-operative - sewn basket, Tipperty; Reid Cup, individual with most points in bulbs - M Grieve, Esslemont.

New Fullerton Cup, individual with most points in handcraft - S Thomson, Balgownie; Greig Cup, individual with most points in baking - L Strachan, Tipperty; Donald Cup, individual with most points in produce - P Elrick, Newburgh; Crystal Rosebowl, most outstanding exhibit in floral art - M Irvine, Collieston and Slains; Helen Smillie Trophy, overall winner in children’s section - Amy Duncan, Tipperty.
