A MEIKLEMILL man looking for love is set to potentially appear on a UK-wide dating show.
Dale Halket of Meiklemill recently auditioned for a place on TV’s ‘Take Me Out’, which sees lucky male entrants subjected to the scrutiny of a female panel with a view to a date.
Speaking to the Times, Dale said the show was one of his favourites, and that he watches it frequently.
“I’m really looking forward to it,” he said. “The audition for the show was in Edinburgh on Thursday, and they start filming in December so I’m hoping to hear back before then.”
Dale, who works offshore, added that he wasn’t expecting to find love on the show, but that it would be nice.
“My ideal woman would be dark haired and eyed, a Mediterranean type. She’d probably have to be tall as well. I’m not expecting to find my ideal woman, but it would be nice!”
Dale’s pride for his hometown extends to an ‘Ellon Till I Die’ tattoo, and he added said that even if he found love from a far-flung corner of the UK, he wouldn’t be moving.
“If I meet a girl from Cornwall, she’s got a long journey ahead of her. Pitmedden is about as far as I’d move!”
