A wildlife sanctuary near Ellon is in line for a cash boost.

Scott Walmsley, who works in the town, is organising a talent show in the Victoria Hall in October in support of the New Arc Wildlife and Animal Rescue Centre.

Last year Scott, 29, cycled from Land’s End to John O’ Groats, raising around £1085 for the centre at Auchnagatt.

He is now appealing for acts to get in touch with him for the showcase on Saturday, October 7, at 7.45pm.

Scott said: “We are looking for a variety of acts to perform from all over Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

“No age limit, no talent limit, just a great family fun and entertaining night.”

He is also taking part in the Aberdeen half marathon this Sunday to raise money for the centre.
