Tarves RotaKids have been doing their bit to support the Rotary Shoebox Scheme.

They recently filled 40 shoeboxes, more than they have ever achieved.

The Rotary scheme collects of boxes full of items which help children, teenagers and the elderly in Eastern Europe.

The Tarves youngsters asked for appropriate donations and did the box packing and decorating themselves.

Anne Forster, from Oldmeldrum Rotary, and her husband Martin, from Ellon Rotary, took the shoeboxes to Dyce Carriers, who start them on the next part of the journey.

The consignment included 500 shoeboxes from Oldmeldrum Rotary.

Earlier, Anne had given a presentation to the RotaKids so that they had an understanding of where the shoeboxes go, and the gratitude of the recipients.
