AN ELLON company has been applauded for their efforts to increase staff fitness with a sponsored ‘stepathon.’
TCC Training employees, based at Castle Park, agreed to take part in the Walk at Work Step Count challenge to increase the amount of physical activity they do in any given day.
Together, the group’s workers clocked up an impressive 2,400 miles on their pedometers - the equivalent of almost walking from Aberdeen to Jerusalem.
The challenge took place over the course of 12 weeks, starting on February 14 and finishing on the May 10 – the start of National Walk to Work Week.
“This has been a truly international effort,” said boss James Murphy. “Our employees have been taking part from Azerbaijan, Bolivia and Ghana, and we’re very pleased with the result.”
