An award-winning chef is planning a star-studded fundraising day for the Aberdeenshire hospital which cared for his late father.

Chef proprietor of Eat on the Green, Craig Wilson, is hosting three events at Udny Green with a number of undisclosed television celebrities set to attend A Day with the Stars and A Night with the Stars.

Mr Wilson is raising funds for Insch Hospital where his father battled cancer in May last year.

He said: “We have some very special guests coming along to judge and join us at our VIP lunch and dinner so it is great to have their support. We hope to raise as much as we can for Insch hospital, whilst having lots of fun.”

The event on Saturday, November 2, in aid of Friends of Insch Hospital, will begin with a competition to find the best topping for the much-loved rowie.

Mr Wilson, known as the ‘Kilted Chef’, has teamed up with Inverurie-based bakery JG Ross to launch the Crown the Bonnie Buttery competition.

The contest will take place at the Udny Memorial Village Hall from 10am-noon with a judging panel including Craig, George Ross of JG Ross and Highland Chocolatier Iain Burnett.

A celebrity lunch will be held at Eat on the Green Restaurant, followed by an exclusive dinner with the stars in the village hall.
